[Labor Day Weekend]

Things I still have to post about: movies seen since July, things I did at work this summer, stuff I’ve made.

What I’m going to post about instead: this weekend! Two of my aunts & one of my cousins came over to the coast, which was lovely. Pictures after the jump!

We went to a baby shower, which I found out about at the last minute, and so did some stash diving for quick gift action:

There was also a neat shower activity where everyone was asked to decorate a square for a quilt. Here’s mine!

Both days we wound up down at the Market, on Saturday to eat and on Sunday to shop. Both days it was packed with folks dressed in purple & yellow, which was disconcerting because they were LSU fans, not Huskies.

More market!

After I sent them back over the mountains, I met up with a friend down from Vancouver. She had a yarn emergency, so we stopped at So Much Yarn. It was the first time I had been in the new space, and I like it MUCH better than the old one. It’s a totally different vibe.

We spent the evening knitting, watching Mad Men, and making (gluten free!) cupcakes, all of which I failed to photograph. Oops.

Finally, just because I want to show it off, the University Bookstore called me this week to let me know I could pick up the Hopkins poster. It was double-sided, which was a surprise. I will put up the egg side, probably on the wall next to the bathroom, for those who know my apartment. It is huge & fabulous.

“Hurrahing in Harvest” is probably more appropriate now, though!

More soon!

The Hopkins is even better than I’d been imagining!

Also, your weekend sounds perfectly wonderful. :)

I’d forgotten it was so big! It’ll look perfect — it’s bright enough that it won’t make that wall close in.
