[I got a method and you don't]

First off, I finished the body cable for the Samus cardigan yesterday, which means that as soon as I pick up a mile-long circular I can do the body itself. Which should fly, as it’s miles of stockinette. I can watch subtitled movies while I do it!

Also, the loot I got at Bumbershoot: a journal from Ex Libris Anonymous & a fork ring from the Spoonman.

I only went to the festival on Saturday, but I reckon I got my $25 out of it. A handful of pictures after the jump.

The mainstage in the afternoon:

…and crowdsurfing… at The Shins. I have no idea.

We tried and failed to get into Jonathan Coulton. Now we know the comedy stage secret — get there an hour early. We headed back across the Center to the Greg Proops Chat Show with, to our surprise, special guests Janeane Garofalo, who wasn’t let onto the grounds for 45 minutes because she didn’t have the right papers and security didn’t know who she was (even though she had ID and, you know, her name on the schedule) …

…and Whitney Pastorek, who wore a black tshirt and was mistaken for a stagehand.

And the Center at night, looking out at Queen Anne from the top of the Fisher Pavilion. The stage in the left corner is where Gogol Bordello played, and at the base of the lit structure just above it in the photo, there were fire dancers.

No pictures of Gogol Bordello because it was outdoors at night and that just wasn’t happening. Besides, at that show you need to dance. True business. More Bumbershoot in my Flickr set here, and as always click through to Flickr for bigger versions of the above.

Your Great Controversy journal made me laugh out loud. It’s one of the principle non-Bible texts of my church. Unexpected hilarity!

Oh man! I was torn between it and Little Women, but I liked the feel of this much better.

My last Ex Libris journal was a bible stories for kids one, I think.
